Staley Words

Staley has finally decided after 2 years to kind of start talking. Just a little bit...He now says BYU Cougars quite well. He had me open the fridge, pointed to a yogurt and said,"I want this". My mom called me the other day and while I was talking he came up to me and asked, "who's that?". And then there is his favorite phrase, "ah oh!" He uses that one the most, and in the correct setting as well. so when I hear him say it I tend to get a little nervous. He also says, "Let's go", "Here you go," "What?", "All done", "dog", and from us yelling at the dogs, "shut up". Fantastic! The cutest right now is when we ask him how old he is, he says "2!". And how could we forget "No!". His new fascination is with airplanes. When he sees one he points to the sky and says "wow!" What we can't translate, we are fairly certain is baby cuss words letting us know how he feels about getting his face washed or having his diaper changed. I catch him singing the alphabet song, the blast off song from Litte Einteins, and the ooh and aahh song from the Disney channel. He loves music. If he hears it, he stops what he's doing and listens to it, sometimes he will even rock out to the music. He has also become quite the little break dancer. He copies the dancers on 'so you think you can dance'. I think he will be athletic. Hopefully since Jimmy has great plans for him to play football at BYU. Even though he says very little, he sure has a way of letting us know what he wants, and he understands EVERYTHING we say to him. Just now Jimmy was trying to get Staley to eat so he did the airplane routine with the spoon. Staley took the spoon and started pretending it was an airplane to entice me and Jimmy to eat his food. He's so on to us! It's a little scary.

Motorcycle Babies

Staley and Ari wanted to both ride the motorcycle at the same time, so I thought, why not? Ari looks like a motorcycle mama with her denim skirt! They rode around together for a long time. Ari knew just what to do; she held on tight to Staley.
