Staley's Soccer Games

Ok, I'm officially a Soccer Mom. Shocking, I know. Staley and Noah are on the same soccer team, the Blue Dragons! And they are awesome! Staley and Noah have so much fun. Staley just runs and runs with a big huge smile on his face the whole time. Staley and Noah get distracted every now and then and will bust out a victory dance. Honestly 3 year olds playing soccer is HILARIOUS. Staley's first goal was made in the wrong direction, but he and all of us, were very excited and proud of him. So I have included lots of pics, but they are all so dang cute, I couldn't leave any out.

Staley Sleeping

It always amazes me how Staley can fall asleep in any position

Easter Fun

Well it was a Dragon Easter at our house this year. It was originally a Buzz Lightyear Easter until we took Staley to see, 'How to Train your Dragon'. After that he was obsessed with Toothless the Dragon. So at 10:00 the night before Easter, Jimmy went to 2 different Walmarts to get Staley these jammies that he could wear that night. When Jimmy got home he threw them in a drawer in the kitchen before (he thought) Staley saw him. When Jimmy left the kitchen, Staley opened up the drawer and found his jammies. Jimmy and I are finding out that we are underestimating our little 3 year old, soon to be 4 year old! He was very excited to wear his jammies for the Easter Bunny. Although at first I think he felt bad about finding them because he was kind of scared of them. When he opened the drawer the first thing he saw was Toothless's face. (It would scare me!) So he cried a little and then after some persuasion he put them on.... And hasn't worn them since!

The Easter Bunny hides our baskets at our house. Staley's was in the black cabinet, Mine was in Staley's bathroom behind the door and Jimmy's was in his office. Staley needed a little help finding his basket. Luckily the Easter bunny had a candy trail magically appear that lead him to his basket after he had been looking for awhile.

I got this really cute shirt along with chocolate covered cinnamon bears..Mmmm..those naughty bears are so dang good!

Staley coloring eggs. Of course he had to do a few BYU eggs. His daddy already has him brainwashed!

We went with the Hafens to Thanksgiving Point for an Easter Egg hunt and it was FREEZING!!! The kids had a great time, though. Although Staley REFUSED to participate in the easter egg hunt. He just stood there and would not pick up any eggs. We got a total of maybe 3 or 4, and I picked them up. So these are pictures of me trying to persuade Staley to pick up an egg.

Me trying to get Staley excited about the Easter eggs

Still trying....

We went on the tractor ride. Which is always Staley's top priority! Here are the Hafen's enjoying the Easter weather with us!

Staley is so funny. When he is excited about something he becomes shy at times. When he doesn't want us to know how much fun he is having he gets a cute little look on his face. This is the look when he's trying not to smile. We love it!

Jay trying to keep warm while wearing women's clothing. Notice the Utah jacket...I'm just sayin...

Staley Quote

I'm very grateful for the size of my master bedroom in my home. Since we moved in, mine and Jimmy's room has become the family community room. Staley's room has basically become a storage room for his toys and clothes. He is perfectly happy sleeping in our recliner in our room. The nights I put him in his room, he does really well. It's actually Jimmy who has a hard time with him being down the hall. I'm fine with it! A couple of weeks ago, we put him in his bed and left the TV on, and about an hour later, Staley came into our room and in his cute little sad, scared voice, said, "Mommy, I'm scared of Wubzy". Wubzy is a cute little cartoon on Nickelodeon. Jimmy's response, "Now that's just ridiculous!" Maybe I'll go sleep in Staley's room...
