Train Show

Since Staley loves trains we thought that he would enjoy the train show at Thanksgiving point last weekend. He pretty much could care less. Oh well, at least we took him and he got to experience it. Here we are in front of the lego train set. It is not a very good picture of it, but Staley looks cute!

Staley's new language

I think that Jimmy and I are the only two people who can understand most of what Staley is saying. But he does say the cutest things these days. He is talking so much more. Here are our favorites:

-He said this one to me last night. I called to him to tell him to come and eat, it was time for dinner and he responded with, "In a minute mom". Jimmy and I just looked at each other and laughed. What 2 year old says that?

-You Ok, Mom, you ok??? (when he thinks I got hurt)

-Go Bye Bye, mom, dad, Go bye bye

-Watch choo choo!!! (refering to The Polar Express..his favorite movie..EVER)

-Wanna ride bike, where'd my bike go? (which he cruises on around the kitchen table)

-I wan Jui (juice)

-Wan Nanna Pappa Scamp (The Spencer grandparents and their dog)

-Wan Bed

-Watch me mom, Watch!

-play upstairs, downstairs

or he will follow me around the house saying my name over and over and over and over again. Sometimes I need to hide in the bathroom, which really doesn't help that much because then he just bangs on the door until I come out.

These are just a few of our favorites. I'll add more when I can think of some

Staleys first Jazz Game

Staley went to the jazz game with Jimmy, Jeff, Bubba and Aleise on Tuesday night. jimmy said he thought it was pretty cool. He loved the chairs and wanted to go under them. He liked watching the dancers and the jazz bear. He told me about the 'planes' which were the blimps dropping stuff in the crowd. They got home late and the next morning Staley was not getting up. He kept pulling the covers over his head and saying, "no mom, sleep in bed!" and he was serious. He is like Jimmy, almost impossible to get up in the morning. But eventually he got up and reminded me that he went to a "bball game" and told me all about it.

Staley the little fibber

So Jimmy and I are starting to see a new little side to Staley. He is a tattle tell, only he doesnt do it right. For instance: Staley accidentaly broke a nightlight and although nobody was mad, he came up to me and said, "Mom, daddy broke" and showed me the nightlight. I said, "really bug, Daddy broke this. Did you?" He shook his head and said, "No mom, daddy broke". He basically threw his dad under the bus. He also accuses mom of stuff as well. It is actually hilarious, if not a little frightening!

Jimmy bought this wetsuit for Stalely for the summer. He loved it. He wore it all night jumping and dancing around. He was so sweaty by the time I took it off to get him ready for bed. He looked like a muscle man in it with a tiny butt, it was hilarious.
