My Little Stud Muffin

I gave Staley these Monster jammies after he came home from the Monster Truck Show. He was excited and looked too cute in them!

MoNsTeR TRUCK ShOw!!!

Staley is holding Grave Digger with Grave Digger in the background. He was so excited about this that he slept with his truck that night.

Jimmy, Staley, Brody, Vance and Grandpa Wilson went to the Monster Truck show at the Rio Tinto Stadium for Vance's birthday. Staley loved seeing Grave Digger, his favorite truck. I asked him what the trucks did, and he said, "VROOM!" while punching his fist in the air.

Walk for Charlie

We did our annul Walk for Charlie back in May. (I'm still a little behind with the blog this summer). It was up at Liberty Park again. Charlie has grown A LOT and he looks great. He is such a cute little boy and we love to keep up on how he is doing. Jimmy was really excited and considered it a huge honor when Charlie's dad asked Jimmy if he wanted to hold Charlie for a picture.
We really look up to their family because they always have a smile on their face and have faced their trials head on with a good attitude. They are such a great example to us of how blessed we are and what our priorities are as a family. We recognize that Staley is healthy and happy and we appreciate that so much more than I think we would have realiezed had we not known of their family.

Quote of the Day

"Your not old if you look good!"

Quote of the Day

Staley and I were coloring pictures the other day and he said that he was drawing a mountain. I asked him what lived on mountains, thinking he would say, a bear or deer or even a squirrel.

Staley's response was, "4-Wheelers!"

Soccer from Hades

I have found out a very important character trait about myself. I am NOT a soccer mom! Maybe someday, but right now, sadly no. It could have been due to my son who refused to participate with his class. I thought that being with his friend Brigham would help, but instead he kept coming to me in the stands and wanted to just sit and watch. So we quit. Bad mommy! Maybe we will try football in the fall, or wait a few years. But he sure looked cute when he did participate

Staley didn't know this goalie was not on his team. He kept trying to stand by him which upset the kid a lot. A shoving contest proceeded.

Staley actually participating and kicking the ball with his class

Staley and his Toby

Staley loves his dog. He always says, "I want my toby, mom". They are best buddies. When Staley isn't home, Toby cries for him on the back deck. They go on walks together and Toby follows Staley on his bike and lawn mower outside. The neighbors think it's hilarious how Toby loves and looks out for Staley. They are a cute pair together! Surprisingly, Staley talks about Chance a lot, who died last summer. He wasn't as close to him and young when he died, so I am surprised he even remembers him, but he says he misses him and wants to see him again.

4-Wheelin' on the 24th

For the 24th we went 4 wheeling with Jay and Amy and their family. We went up American Fork canyon and it was crazy busy, so we couldn't find a place by the lake to fish, but we still had a great time riding and eating chocolate and licorice. Amy took me on a ride to teach me. We laughed hysterically the whole time. Well I did, mostly because I was nervous! The last time I rode a 4 wheeler I hit a tree, so some nerves are to be expected. Jimmy and Staley were hilarious. They rode like mad men! Jimmy said that at one point Staley asked him to slow down, otherwise he loved going fast and crazy. I think he forgot he had a 3 year old sitting in front of him. My next purchase will be helmets:)
Afterward we went to their house and tiredly put together a yummy barbecue. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again!

Jimmy took Staley on a 45 minute ride up the mountain. They came back FILTHY!! But with the biggest smile on his face. He loved it and kept begging for Jimmy to take him again.

Staley after his ride with Jimmy. Look at that dirt!

Amy and Jay with Noah, who had dirt and chocolate all over his face. Sooo cute!

Staley exhausted after his fun day of 4 wheelin. I love how dirty and curly his hair is!

Steel Days Parade

The only parade I will go to is the Steel Days Parade, and only because it is tradition. We went with the Wilson's, Summer and her kids, and Char. Char gets right involved and helps pick up the candy thrown in the street with the kids. She wants to always make sure that all of the kids are getting something. It was a hot day, but very fun. Afterward we went to IHOP and ate breakfast.

Staley was happy as a clam just pulling around the cooler and handing out drinks to everyone. He called it his "bag"

The kids picking up the candy that was thrown from the floats. Everyone was really good about sharing and helping out the younger kids
