5K For Charlie

Well, Staley, Jim and I walked, or rather strolled, our first 5K last Saturday. Jimmy wanted to support charlie cooper and meet him. It was really neat to see him in person. He is a cutie and a trooper! Staley was sweet. He did not want to sit in his stroller, he wanted to get out and walk with us, so we let him. He held onto the side of the stroller and walked one full lap of the race. Sometimes if somebody would run past us, Staley would start to run as well. Dylan and Jay went and ran it. Dylan took first place in his division. We were pretty happy for him, he was very excited. Katie and Walker were there as well as many of my students. It was great to see so many people out to support Charlie and the Brain Injury Association. We have decided to make this an annual event as a family.

Thomas Day

Staley and I had a fun day today. We went on the Heber Creeper with Brigham and Heather on Thomas the Tank Engine Day. The boys got Thomas tats on their hands and balloons, which Staley popped and then laughed his head off. It was raining and chilly, but the boys were good sports and even pet a horse and donkey they had. On the train they loved playing on the seats and looking out the window as we moved along. Staley tried to do tricks while Brigham ate a peanut butter sandwich. It was a beautiful ride down the canyon and I was glad that Heather called and invited us.

More Disneyland

Jim was very sweet. For Mothers Day he gave me a pin of Belle, Rachel was Tinkerbell and Wendy was Cinderella. We wore our pins on our shirts for the rest of the week. It was nice to be thought of that way and to see who Jim relates us to. He did a good job. I saw a cute shirt that had Belle on it that Said, "I'm with Beast" Jimmy wasn't in to it. I thought it fit us, though.
Staley and Vance had Buzz Lightyear guns that they would chase eachother with and shoot eachother. They were wild one night while Rachel and I waited for everyone to get off of Indiana Jones. They were squealing and running around and then when they would shoot the other one would collapse onto the ground. It was hilarious! Staley refused to wear his Mickey ears. I think the record was 10 minutes. What a little Bug!

Disneyland

Well, after months of deciding when the best time as a family was to take a trip to Disneyland, the Wilson's finally decided and then left on our trip 5 days later. That is the best way to do it, I think. Quick and painless. Anyway, we went to Disneyland for 5 days. On Mothers Day we ate at the Rainforest Cafe where Staley spilled my Diet Coke on Grandma. He was not having fun until that happened and then he happily ate his fries and grapes. What a bug! Staley, Vance and Ari were so cute together on the rides. They loved the rides that would go in circles. Jimmy was done after the Astro ride in Tomorrowland I think. Only because the day before he spun me, Staley and Vance a little too fast on the teacups. We also ate at the Lilo and Stitch character breakfast where Staley officially earned the title of Little Stitch. He was a little wary at first of the characters and then eventually warmed up to them. He had a dance off with Stitch which Jimmy said was hilarious. I unfortunately missed the whole thing, but saw him and Vance having fun playing the drums and running around the restaurant. It really was a great time. Another great time was when the kids were in Bug Land playing the water area where the water shoots out of the ground at random times. Staley miraculously missed it every single time, but had it figured out. He knew where the water shot from, just not when. We took lots of great pictures of him and his cousins doing this. They played in the water for probably half an hour. It was a beautiful day so they dried off really quickly. In California Adventures we learned what character we were. I am Cinderella and Jimmy is Buzz Lightyear. I totally see it! We should of done Staley! Staley was a little wary in the Haunted Mansion and Pirates, but he was a trooper and clung onto me the entire time. We really had a great time and look forward to going again!
