Last Sunday, Jimmy and I were trying to explain what General Conference is to Staley. We told him that our prophet, Thomas S. Monson would be talking to us. Well, that got his attention....Staley is a huge fan of Thomas the Train, so he immediately thought that we would be listeing to Thomas the Train this weekend. It was very confusing, so we just laughed and gave up.
Staley is very entertaining in Sunbeams apparently. When I first take him to primary, he freaks out and has the grip of death on me, but then the shyness wears off, and he becomes the star of the show. He is not shy about going up to the Primary President and reminding her that his class is singing during sharing time, or singing the Valentine song to the Sunbeams. He loves to talk about Toby (his dog), and Noah, (his best-friend).
What Jimmy and I love so much about Staley is how social he is. He thrives on being around people and interacting with them. He is a smart little guy who notices everything and talks to us about it. He plays really well with his friends and loves to be outside. (He is going to drive me crazy this summer). He doesn't really have the patience for coloring but loves to read right now.
Last night I was in bed watching a movie with Jimmy and I rolled over to find that there was a toy car stuck in my hair. We just laughed, because those moments make being a parent rewarding. If it's not fun, then what's the point? Jimmy and I know how hard it is to not be able to have any more kids, but it also makes us appreciate every little thing that Staley does and to enjoy the one-on-one time we have with him.
He is a joy and we love him dearly!

Quote of the Day
Last night I put in New Moon to watch with Staley and during the previews, the Taylor Swift song, Romeo and Juliet started playing, and Staley started singing the song! I listen to Taylor Swift, but not that often. I'm thinking that Sharon must listen to her when he is at her house. I've been there while country music is playing. But what was so cute about it was it was a cut version of the song, and staley started singing the next verse, which was the correct verse, but it cut to another part in the song. He got all embarrassed when I made a big deal about it.

Quote of the Day
This quote isn't even my child's, but is so cute I had to document it. I went to pick up Staley from playing with Noah, and Noah came up to me and said, "Candice! Staley wants me to come over to his house and play!" Meanwhile Staley was standing 3 feet away.
Quote of the Day
Staley was not very happy at church this last weekend. So Jimmy gave him the option of either going to primary or going home to time-out. (I didn't know of this proposal). So Staley turns to me and says, "mommy, I want to go home and go to time-out". I was a little confused until Jimmy told me of his threat, and then I was very amused. Maybe time-out is too much fun, I should re-think things...
