We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was our last year in our house, we were moving out in January, so the house was in disarray with boxes everywhere and I didn't put out all of my Christmas, but we still had a great time.
This is the year that Staley "got" it. He understood Santa and was excited, (and frightened) at the same time. He loooves Christmas, even now, (it's February) whenever he says his prayers, he thanks Heavenly Father for Christmas. He was so wild while we opened our presents. Christmas morning was kind of a whirlwind with Staley moving from one present to the next, which was chaotic for me but I was assured by everyone else that this is a normal Christmas morning with older kids.
Jimmy and I felt so blessed this year, especially with the sale of our home, and the home that we moved into. January was a crazy month with Taylor dying and buying our house the night before we had to move. It was an emotional and challenging month but we got through it for the better and are excited to be in our new home where we can start over in a new ward and make some new friends.
I surprised Jimmy with a BYU tree this year that we kept in Staleys room. Staley decorated it:)
We wanted to get Staley an educational toy this year. He loves a keyboard
I got Staley a sled and wrapped it up for him. After he had opened everything he said, "Can I open my snowboard not?" I guess he is smarter than I thought!
Jimmy got Staley this race track
I got Jimmy some new BYU hats, because you know he's lacking in them!
All Staley wanted for Christmas was a Thomas the Train from Santa. He was excited
Staley seeing all of the presents under the tree for the first time
Levi and Cole on Christmas Eve
Ari and Staley in their Jammies on Christmas Eve
Staley built this ramp for his trucks to drive on. I thought it was quite inventive
